The Portege series was launched by Toshiba in 2004, the Portege R700 being the 7th generation of the series. The R700 comes as a result of years of hard work and innovation, having the R500 and R600 as its predecessors. The Portege R700 was launched for the first time back in June, when Toshiba celebrated 25 years since the launch of the first consumer laptop.
