If you don't know what you are voting for and you vote anyway... YOU ARE A MORON.
-
Anyone else in favor of implementing a basic political science test for voter registration?

We are a republic, not a democracy, thats that!!(well at least we were founded as a republic, now we are bordering on empire)

@Pyromaniac721 Most politicians would fail that test.

Sheila Vixen for President.

@Jebusrulez This video just proves that Dr. Paul's latest proposal to curtail student loans is right - colleges are turning out brain dead morons who owe huge loans and there are no jobs for them. It is all big business - colleges have huge endowment funds , yet many charge $50,000 a yr for tuition , necessitating that people take out big loans and are in debt for life . Uninformed voters , do me a favor - stay home !

or at least vote for Dr Ron Paul

instead of making tests how about political classes in schools and at home ? voting is a right and every right comes with responsibility voting comes with due diligence witch basically lookup the track record of the candidates and what they are for / what is there agenda
-
let it just not be a reminder ... btw start by google Dr Ron Paul ...

actually thats pretty much what public education does best turn bright intelligent curious kids into oblivious stupid morons ( i speak by experience) i learned more outside of school than into school !
Some people don't want young people to vote.Cons obviously young people are widely liberal

@Cietru fwiw, I'm pretty sure Stossel's quite pleased with young people voting. Stossel leans pretty far libertarian and Ron Paul's base is made up primarily of folks between 18-30.

They just want to regieser young people probably because they'll vote liberal. Aren't most of the "get out their and vote" crowd liberal? I mean, I'm sure conservatives call for voting too, but whenever I see these more aggressive campaigns, it seems that they are targeting naive liberal groups like young people.

@IndividualParties I'd agree with that. Young people tend to vote liberal or libertarian more than the gen. pop. I don't think it's too manipulative of a movement, though. I think a lot of young liberal folks are genuinely enthused about "their generation's voice" being heard, and those are the people making up the vast bulk of the movement. Not to say manipulation isn't involved... MTV launched a "Rock the Vote" campaign telling young people to withhold sex from Obama health reform opponents.
