I have seen these called witch bottles also. One from the 1700's was found in the ground at an old historical excavation project in my state. So these made their way in American Folk magic practices also. I have made a few myself over the years and they seem to work quite well.

Does it have to be one intention, like getting a new job? Or can it be multiple intentions such as getting a new job, having a baby, buying a house? Or would you need more than one jar. As you can see I'm hoping for 2012 to be a busy year lol
