hmm lets see, I live in California, always have, so what do you think? Of course not, but the first song I heard by them was Pints of Guinness, wouldn't call it old but it sure isnt New Wave, so tell me what difference does it make? I heard their old stuff and liked it, I also like their new stuff, I just don't like people who only like New Wave, they make me rage.

Wow it blows me away how much better this version of this song is. Also pretty sure the later version was changed again from "the revolution left me blind" to "the revolution was a lie". Wish Tom had never rewritten any of the parts. It's the one song on White Crosses I skip.

@SpiderShane1 I was there, and my God it was a painful experience. SO much energy in the crowd. This was the first time they had ever played this song, so no one knew it. During Cliche or RAR people were exploding

this version is a hundred times better than the one that'll be on the record. And it's not even just how they've become over-produced either. Something as simple as changing the chord progression in the chorus has ruined the song in my opinion.
...they're not terrible, but they sure ain't the same as they used to be.
