A judge ruled that an amateur opera singer was not guilty of assaulting a physician in the frozen food section at Trader Joe's on the Upper West Side. Opera diva Marcela Caprario was charged with slapping Dr. Cathleen London while shopping, but Caprario said she was the victim in the incident.
Police have made three arrests related to an Orchard Street boutique attack Tuesday night. Meanwhile Pilgrim shop owner Richard Ives told DNAinfo about tackled through a plate-glass window during the incident.
The City says the City Hall park bike path is not a danger to pedestrians despite resident complaints. A Department of Transportation report found that no accidents have been reported along the path, even though nearly half of the riders there fail to dismount.
And the Upper East Side may be getting some high-end produce this September if a plan for Sotheby's to host a farmer's market is approved. The auction house is hoping to collaborate with nonprofit group GrowNYC, which runs the city's greenmarkets.
