I rode this train on the Penn Line route from New Carrollton-Baltimore Penn-New Carrollton. The ride back was on an express train pushed by an HHP-8. I swear it felt like I was on a plane during takeoff. You could definitely feel us being pushed along at 125MPH! It was the most exhilarating train ride, EVER!

is marc a speed train or a commuter train????
-
I would love to see Amtrak get double deckers like this but obviously ones that can fit in Penn Station
-
@Amtrak1194 It's about $7-8 one way between DC-Baltimore
-
I wonder how much a MARC ticket is...
I would love to be able to hit 125mph with out spending $70 on Amtrak.
-
actually the ALP46's can go as fast as the AEM-7's
-
@Genjinaro MARC is the fastest commuter railroad in the world
-officially not just by observation
-
Damn, I never knew MARC traveled at such a speed. I haven't even seen Acela roll through Trenton that fast. SEPTA seems so lame now vs its neighboors on the NEC.
-
That's a really fast commuter train!
-
I didn't know that MARC HHP-8's could go that fast when they don't stop at a station
wow that was fast they would kill NJ transit in a race
