De titel van zijn lezing luidt "Contours of Global Order: Domination, Instability, and Xenophobia in a Changing World".

  • I'm just repeating the quote Chomsky uses from the book, The Crisis of Democracy. The quote kinda shocks me, and Chomsky's ability to find it and present it to the public is invaluable.

  • The problem is no one paid much attention to when Howard Zinn died, and he was a chomskian figure, just obviously not anywhere near as large.

  • what do you mean?

  • The sad truth is that is probably the moment when he will finally be noticed by the people who need him the most, like most great artists. (not to call the truth "art" by any means.)

  • If the viewer is familiar with Chomsky's citations, he or she is unlikely to be undereducated. Besides, what have you got against controversy? It is, in itself, a neutral force. It can be harnessed for many causes, good and bad, and occaisionally makes idiots rethink their idiot points of view.

  • actual;y they are doing a pretty good job

  • I know what you mean, I'm really worried about that to be honest, there is no one out there today to fill his place, we are it seems in the age of associations, think tanks, and other groups which can be bought, and steered, the individual and objective thinker is rare today, and what passes for intellectuals today is a joke, I hope that we get new people like Noam Chomsky, cause I can't think of anyone else today like him

  • And people wonder why the problems of society are abundant........

  • Quite miserably too.
