Rockestra - teen rock musicians and a teenage youth orchestra playing original songs and covers. Orchestrated and arranged by School of Rock Director Thomas Goss, conducted by Vector Wellington Orchestra maestro Marc Taddei. Original songs written by the bands Single Strand, MissGuided Youth, South of Sanity, Cyanide, and The Philosophers.
SOS's showstopping cover of "Dazed and Confused" by Led Zeppelin. This is the arrangement that almost killed orchestrator Goss - but the results were worth the effort. Very long intro as the orchestra slowly evolves the theme of the song, slipping into the standard intro with the band, then revving things up in the middle. There are some missing english horn solos, but the music works all the same.
South of Sanity's graduating lineup: JayDee McMillan, lead vocals; Louis Reeve, lead guitar; Tom Wheeler, lead & rhythm guitar; David Benge, bass; Max Wheeler, drums.
South of Sanity is "retired" now as members pursue other projects, but info is still available at:

Yeah, anybody who thinks this is easy is invited to go and hire their own orchestra, write their own arrangements, rehearse for 10 weeks, and then perform on stage for 600 people.
Cut the dude some slack, you guys!
