Former House Majority Leader Dick Armey, spoke with USA TODAY at the 2008 Republican Convention in St. Paul on Sept. 3. In this clip from the interview Armey says Barack Obama's race might cost him the election.
We will never know how much race played a factor in this election because Obama won. He got 43% of the white vote nationwide. He got 49% of the white vote in Pennsylvania and 47% of the white vote in Ohio, so I guess "Bubba" was too drunk to vote or so drunk that accidently voted for a black man. lol
Bubba voted for JC Watts and Jindal because both o these men rejected there race to get white votes. JC Watts was viewed as on of the good ones, not a rabble rouser, an eternal happy Negro.
However, a minority can win the "Bubba vote." J.C. Watts of Oklahoma did. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana did. The difference is that these men understood the concerns of working class folks while Obama is too elitist and arrogant to care. And as always, he'll blame racism for his inevitable defeat in November as opposed to his policies and radical ideas that alienate the folks Dick Armey is referring to.
