snare? you talking about the 2 sounds at the start of the drum beat? cause according to the tabs, its a closed hat although, as you probably know, in the movie closer, the sound was made by spraying an aerosol can into the mic in the recording studio, which ended up causing the guy who did it to get dizzy
To sebastianity89, you have to see "Closer", it gives a good insight into Ian's epilepsy, which of course this song is about. Barney comes across as a good mate to Ian, but Hooky less so. (I'll leave it at that.) Also you see the problems he was having with his marriage in some detail ...OMG...The bit at the end where Debbie (his wife) finds Ian dead is quite heavy.
