Thanks Linda, great video which tells the truth! I say that because once upon a time in the USA, when I was a youngster in Elem School (1950;s, yeah I'm in my 60's now), they did in fact teach this very thing. It was in our American History textbooks. But the liberal radicalization of our schools over time (starting w/LBJ's "Great Society nonsense) removed it! And now we have Am. Civics textbooks going into schools in MI (and probably other places) with chapters on Obama? Duh! Semper Fi!

Unfortunately, in order to achieve the utopian servers and served, America needed to dumb down their electorate. They succeeded in Government education. No Civics, No Constitution, No Government, No History.

Not "historical" anyway.

They're taught Columbus was a tyrant, rather than the man that wanted find a continent to spread Christianity before it was extingushed in Europe. His translated Diaries revealed this but our students are never taught it.

Yea guess what, Socialism is a GREAT form of government on paper. Everyone gets food, housing, and healthcare. But when it's put into REAL life, it fails because there will always be greedy SLACKERS and LOSERS who pilfer the system and don't put anything back in, not because capitalists want to better themselves and they're businesses.

Good post Linda. Yes, the brainwashing began early. So much for teachers passed on the hipe we believe today. Thank God for the freedom to re-learn. With that, being a Neoconservative is still going in the wrong direction. read the founders, understand the vision they wanted for America. Liberty and freedom were more cherished then promises and permissions from government intervention. This was the American dream, not what we have today and not where liberalism and neoconservatism will take us.

It's absurd to denounce a whole socio-economic system as being "unworkable" because some specific example of it in history failed. It's also absurd to think that those particular conditions would be present in every form of it. Do food/work/housing co-ops and credit unions fail? What about "primitive" tribal communities? There is also a lot more technology and ability to accomplish things now than there was then. Also, Socialism involves money and (true) Communism is moneyless.
