@zeppy13131 yeah....that's embarassing.
-
i prefer the ibanez
-
I hate the look of all ibanez stuff

Is it possible to get the player's opinion on which guitar he preferred?
-
Is a compressor being used to get such sustain at the beginning on the PM35?
-
epi sounds great!

Both great guitars - the PM35 is optimized for jazz and like most straight ahead jazz boxes - no need for a bridge pick-up. The Broadway does have greater range and more flexibility with the second pick-up. The trade off is more electronics, more hardware, less sound output when unplugged.
Thanks so much for this comparison - rare opportunity to see these two great jazz guitars head to head.

PM35 WHY YOU NO 2 PICKUPS?!

Both exhibit jazz tones, but very different, the PM sounds very muted, but the Epi is brighter to my ears whilest still having plenty of warmth as well. I have to say though, I've played these two and the neck/fretboard on the PM is just to die for! Smooth as silk! Either of these instruments would do the job though.
Is it my imagination, or is that the piece of foam plastic between the bridge and top that the manufacturer inserts for shipping? You've left that in there? How can you give an accurate demonstration with the bridge insulated from the top?
