@robby317 its probably just your clutch. where do you run? higher altitude and bad tracks are gonna be slower. I can gurantee 15 second passes all night long at sea level and good grip, hell just sea level. but at the altitude of my local track, the best I managed 16.39@83.xxmph.

@0phil1 you have to factor in altitute and track too. My best was 16.39@83mph. and my weaksauce ka managed to spin a lot. That should tell you about how much traction the strip I ran at gave me.

@silvia240sxfreek the ka is an iron block much lighter than steel block
-
wow i only did 16.2....with bolt ons and my reaction time was like 0.5...wtf

My butt dyno is very bad, so I can't really verify anything. But here's a writeup from one guy who did all sorts of 240 cam combos:

How is the difference with the Hot cams when U installed it?
How was the power and torque pull difference from before?
I'm at 15.3 with minor Mods, but am very curios about Hotcams... Preciate if U respond man

from what ive seen your on the right path, there are a fair deal more high power KA builds as opposed to the sr20, sr20 is light and fair powered but as you said with the KA there is more torque and is overall a more stout engine
-
shit i got a dohc ka24de yet after 19 runs my best is a 17.1 @ 79 mph. I think my tranny clutch and engine is starting to take a shit on me as i ran a 17.3 at 83.6mph my first run
-
that would be iron, not steel. also the ka can run much higher boost level due to this .
or u can jus swap it for a VQ instead of a SR or RB......
