  • This video does not to their performance justice. Alpha Chaper DST SHUT IT DOWN !!! Their into alonee was fire !!! Shout-out to Asata on point with it alway !!! (sorry I know I spelt it all wrong) LoL

  • @br174205 Blood drives, soup kitchens, voter registration drives, mentoring programs for young men and women, scholarship rewards, donations to hospitals, walk a thons for breast cancer and sickle cell anemeia, forums to discuss relevant topics to on campus students, black history programs etc....yep they are still pretty relevant....their good work often goes unrecognized by those who dnt witness it but they definitely still do it

  • @br174205: Pt2 - I KNOW I am still part of a privileged group of women b/c although weve made advances through the yrs. Not evry1 is educated or afforded the luxuries that come w/being this way. The D9 is VERY relevant in our communities b/c we serve others. Period. We dont have 2but that is what is in our spirit&weve made a conscious decision 2uphold this tradition/values.

  • @br174205:The women @ HU used our sororities as a means of fellowship&support. Ethel Hedgeman(EH)&the very few women on campus couldnt help being educated. Just think how lonely it must have been 2be thousands of miles away fr family,1 of the handful of women on campus, &heck being Black in the 1900's. AKA was a way2share closer bonds w/otr women in the same spot.EH&others knew they were privileged &humble enough2give2 back by way of service fr 1908 to today.

  • Awesome!!! Great job ladies

  • have lost their prestige due to a litany of factors. What it ultimately boils down to is the COMMUNITY SERVICE these orgs continue to provide and how much more they COULD do to advance African American people. I'm off my soapbox now. Good job DST for winning the stepshow!
