It's actually pretty risque for a show to play off on a guy having a boner, but they did it in just the perfect way to be subtle enough and the joke still be really funny, that way younger kids and stuff can't pick up on it.

@marler1985 Yes and your point? He was playing a straight character and made it believable. DHP made the character of Niles so real and his love for Daphne so real, he was an amazing actor. That is what I admire about him.

@CrakenX Just because someone is gay doesn't mean they still can't have a crush on someone of the opposite sex. My friend has a friend who is gay and she can still get him turned on in subtle ways even though he's attracted to men. Men are still men, regardless. DHP played a straight guy so well, you never would have guessed he was gay in real life. When I found out I was shocked and disappointed but he is still a great actor, a funny and sweet guy. DHP and Jane were sweet as Niles and Daphne.
