Great thoughts on motivation. Also about the allure of video games versus goals (but my Sims are involved in epic love triangles!). So way to make me shift uncomfortably in my seat and then scramble to pull up my work-in-progress. Favoriting this video for future readily accessible swift kicks into motion.

This all totally makes sense, but I have this problem where I get completely addicted to a character I've read or watched, and it gets unfailingly cloned in whatever I write next. Ack! Need original characters!

I steal inspiration all the time. I once read a book on writing where the author referred to it as "springboarding", so that's what I call it.
