  • I thought the edits and cuts ran very smoothly - making the overall impact very good, with the use of slow transitions. However, I thought it was very graphic - but it definatly gets the audience captivated.

  • Realy enjoyed this sequence, very smooth and well arranged, sound and visual effects on the screwdriver stabbing are realy greusome! Great how the heart moniter beeping builds tension too

  • The beeping added to the tension of the sequence. Good use of special effects and lighting. However the flashbacks felt unneccesary and detracted from the tension of the overall piece.

  • Vey good seqence.

Keeps the audience on edge at all times. The killing was extremely realistic and the non diegetic constant beeping gave the sequence a lot more tension. Overall a very successful sequence.

  • I really like the ECU of the eyes leading to the flashbacks of the wood. very effective and smooth, giving the sequence more depth/background history.

The sound effect of the 'bleep' is very effective adding to the "thriller" genre.

  • Good opening sequence.

The constant beep in the background, is very effective in building tension.

The killing was made to seem very real, making the sequence more scary, even more so, because of he graphic close ups shown.

  • I thought this opening sequence was very good. I thought the color pallete was very effective with the consistent dark lighting. The murder was also realistic and the shots put together nicely - the close up of the sink for example. The target audience is probably 15-18 as it is too graphic and disturbing for anyone younger.

  • That's a really good entry. You deserve a high mark for that!
