@MissRedrum78 Colposcopy is no more difficult or uncomfortable than a pelvic exam when performed by a physician who knows what they are doing. "severe" dysplasia is not serious and can be dealt with without a LEEP etc. A surprising large number of severe dysplasias will disappear but colposcopy MUST be performed.
SO I was told some time ago I had "severe cervical dysplasia". WHAT is that exactly? I'm so hi strung that I KNOW I would HAVE to be sedated for the colposcopy-SERIOUSLY. I carry no insurance as I am a single parent and been waiting over a decade any child support. Im not at poverty guidlines so no state help-just another one to fall thru cracks maybe. Im scared of cancer it runs in my family like wildfire. My paps have always been 50-50 normal to un. what does one really do?
And just FIY to all, after leep surgery I've never had any issue so far. As far as sex go, Im doing just like the old days no pain at all. So this month Im going to visit my new doctor and get papsmear done so Im expecting everything is gonna be fine and hoping to have a better experience as well.
So its been 5 months after my leep procedure and I still havent visit my obgy. Im in the process of looking for a new doctor and I would definitely share my experience to them just to give them heads up to imform those first time patients to what to expect and how the process is done and how much it could cost if your insurance doesnt cover.
>>and the doctor walk out the room and came back after 5 minutes. And told me not to worry about anything and I need to get ready for surgery. But they still bill me for $600 balance and 5 months later I received $1300 bill from pathology specialist! So Im still upset because the whole procedure pretty much cost me about 3k out of my pocket. I know its my health but I wouldve been more prepare if they imform me what to expect and check my insurance coverage before procedure.
>> so I said I dont have $600 right now and you guys shouldve told me ahead of time and not in last minute! First I had no idea what was the charges if for but they said my insurance didnt cover some of the procedure or somthing. So i was pissed, hungry and nausea and feel bad for myself. So I went and talk to the doctor and told her that Im going home. I dont feel like you guys cared about my health. You guys obviosly only want your money and I was gonna walk out until the head nurse
Thanks to everyone response on my comment! Btw, i had the leep surgery done after ive been diagnosed with sin3. Here is what pissed me off, so the day of my surgery the front desk handed me a bill from my last biopsy. Asked me to pay the $600 first before they can check me in. But before that I also recieved a bill from pathology specilalist for $800 which I had no idea that it was gonna cost me a lot and they should've told me to check on my insurance first before I went to get the procedure
What Sylvian says is true. Few Doctors know this and are overly aggressive with this problem. The chances of having true cancer is very small and in the hands of a well educated health provider is nil, providing the patient also cooperates.
PLEASE google 'unnecessary paps blogcritics' and read, read, READ
This is NOT a 'minor' procedure, it is often unnecessary (as HPV resolves itself over 90% of the time) ... this procedure causes various problems that can lead to infertility as well as problems carrying a child to term.
So many women have allowed their cervix to be mutilated without really understanding the risks ... and that Cervical Cancer is RARE!!!
@Kitte111981 your doctor will perfrom either a techniques called cryosurgery that I invented or LEEP which I modofied to make safer .NO rush to treattment as these precencerous changes seldom advance very fast, i.e. years. Make sure that you Doctor has performwed 50 such patients as success is directly related to experience. Currently I use the bodies own defences to eliminate these problems with same success as removla or destruction. and no side effects.
