Reconfortez Le Petite Cuer de Moy, by Clement Janequin, French 1485-1558.
When first posting this, i didn't know what the title meant. Luckily 2 scholars came to the fore with the answer, means "comfort my little heart". Clement Janequin was a composer of thousands of popular songs from the early 16th Century. Many of his works were published during his lifetime. I have arranged this piece using the Garritan Personal Orchestra v4 and the Irina Brochin vocal soprano sample.
Best regards,

  • Very beautiful ... thanks for posting ! :)

  • Most delightful ! Lovely arrangement. Harpsichord, strings and voices make for a very evocative sound of late 1400-early 1500. Well done, Antony Barnard

  • Great.

It's in old French (even for a French guys as me "old Fench" is difficult to understand : synthax and vocabulary are pretty different).

Réconfortez le Petite Cuer de moy (old French) = consoler mon petit coeur (actual French) = Confort my little heart (English)

  • Your choice of photos is a perfect accompaniment to this delightful music.

  • the tile is in old French. It means "comfort that little heart of mine"
