i dont get why the ego thing is haunting yngwie's name.. i can state many names in the business who are 100 times more egotistical than yngwie: ulrich, mustaine, david lee roth, AXL ROSE, to name a few.... im a guitar player myself and i like things to be done a certain way, not because of my "ego", but because if you are a playing a certain genre, there is no other way.... would you go to a vai concert to here dave weiner soloing? or to here weiner's songs?

I agree that 'Shredders' are a dime a dozen. BUT...Yngwie writes good tunes. Alexander from 'EUTOPIA' is another example of 'shredding with SOUL' I think Alexander is overall the best musician on the planet as he plays, composes and sings also....not since hendeix or clapton have we had a musician like Alexander on the planet. Its time the great maestro gets his credit!! EUTOPIA ROCK!!

Of course he's extremely fast, but wish he would incorporate some soul into his playing. Shredders are a dime a dozen nowadays, guitarists like Gary Moore are rare.
