..Bamboo, when hardened over fire, whittled & then sanded to shape, can make hollow darts-which can hold a toxin. I'm Japanese & my parents encouraged martial arts-so I grew up practicing-mainly Kendo & Kenjutsu, but I also played with weapons (we had an abundance of swords, Yumi's, old armor & blow guns, etc., plus I lived on a ranch)-so I used to catch Rattlers, or occasionally, a Coral snakes, to use their venom to fill & soak darts. I took, birds, possums-even wild dogs.

my guess would be, you put a tube on the end of a dart so that it can slide, then you put a shotgun primer into the tube then on impact the dart will be like a firing pin.

put those little things (all called different, i had ones called "POP ITS") on the end that pop on impact. you get a big bag of em. the ones that you throw at the ground.
