A lot of the complaints are from people that just don't do the work to see what they are getting into. Ultimately at the end of the day you are responsible for you. Do the research and know what could happen.

Maybe you should join to surve instead of for the benifits. I hate these videos, they only share the most extreem examples and try to hide from that little thing called reality. There are PLEANTY of people who surved and are glad they did.

How about this, don't fucking enlist unless you want it. Not if you want college money, not if you want an easy way out, not if you want a cinematic lifestyle or some bullshit. Because that's not doing the country any service, if you need a bribe to serve your country then you should enlist at all. Whether you like it or not you have to get over the fact that you are joining the military, it's not joining you.

I really didnt enjoy hearing that female veteran saying that military women are treated like they are bitches, sluts, etc. Maybe in her experience. Personally I think women in my command were treated much better than most the guys. Most reported "rape" incidents in the military is if a woman is drunk and even if the man is as well and he sleeps with her then the next morning the woman can legally file for a rape charge. That is what usually occurs in the military and boost #'s to the rape count.

We need a military no matter what you say or feel. If we had no military and those who are brave enough to enlist we could NOT be the country we are. Just use common sense and think about it. Any other country with a military would gladly take our land, take our resources, kill our people, do whatever they wanted to our lands if we had no military, with its resources, its weaponery, its aircraft and ships, its tactics, and especially its all volunteer men and women. Think about it, common sense.

And what I want to add is that these individuals may have been through some crap and its been proven that some recruiters do lie, but why would a recruiter tell you all the negative crap when WE ALL SHOULD KNOW OR ASSUME war is horrible w/o going through it and that people die in wars. Thats why they are Recruiters, they are there to show you the TRUE benefits and positive aspects of the military, not the bad things we all should know already. They joined on their own free will, tough shit
