Arizona Lou kiteboardiing on the Outer Banks, NC

On my annual kiteboarding trip to OBX in 2006, Shows:
o Launching my old 21 square meter kite north of Avon in 12 mph wind
o Jumping at Frisco Woods Campground 10m Windwing kite in 25 mph wind
o Jump in the Brazilian Atlantic in 2004 trip
o Starting up with 20m Gastra kite, in 14 mph wind
o Another puny jump, Frisco Woods
o Commentary in Waves, NC with 6m C kite in 35 mph wind
O Cruising North of Avon, NC on Pamlico Sound with 21m Gastra in 14 mph wind
o Jumping the surf on the Atlantic side of Hatteras Island

Very observant! I rigged a fifth line to the pump loop to aid in relaunching the kite from the water. Else it would NEVER turn on its back. In that situation, without my fifth line it was always swim-in time. Going to the pump loop, I figured it was not strong enough for depowering the kite, but it did work well for its intended purpose. I sold the kite a couple years ago when I went to bow-type kites.

do you have a 5th line on your Gaastra Kite?

I also have a Gaastra Phoenix 21m Kite. IT is challenging to air up properly and it is so large that you have to pay attention when launching it!!!
