Well, the folks up front have obviously got the idea, their ears focussed on the vocal harmony nectar and ambrosia. The people yammering further back . . . how does one charitably comment on it? I went to a Pink Martini outdoor concert Summer 2009. Yes, apparently the "thing" to do at such events is to get up and dance a bit. But, when China Forbes' balladic bolt-out-of-the-blue, "Over the Valley," manifested itself, I'm astounded that people would not or could not rest their voices.

It really wasn't as loud in the back as the video makes it sound. I was just working with a cheap mike on an inexpensive camera that picked up local sounds better than the performers. In actuality, the sound was better balanced.
