do you think that maybe there's a fault in the design by having the light on the lid. after you have cooked with it the filament is still very hot and by just moving the lid you can break the filament?

hi mate excellent video/review ...... and quite funny at parts...... my wifes getting the argos signature halogen oven... she,s been waiting ages for one,and it will go well next to her tefal actifry sooner or later the kitchen oven will be made redundant.... and with these new cookers being more efficent and using less energy this has got to be a good thing has hazel used it yet ? great video

Hazel's used it alright and burned it out, just inside the 12 months guarantee.
Got our money back from Tesco though as they didn't have a replacement, I bought a cheaper one half price from Makro £10 plus vat but it's not a patch on the JML.
Apparently the elements have a given life span and are not replaceable, I recon Argos will be the best place to buy one with an extra, is it 3 year cover.
Cooks chicken to a tee and we had at least one a week, as you will have noticed, I like my grub.
