  • what street was this?

  • This was on the corner of Mill Road and First Ave. It is North Park. Filmed in 1976. Do you know this area?

  • This was the year my parents moved on Lohoff Ave. I transferred from Hebron to Harwood. I was in kindergarten. Didn't realize until watching this it was still a field behind Kuesters. Cool stuff. I got my first paddling by Mr. Bain at Harwood this year. LOL!

  • I was in Kindergarten at Thompkins School. I was in this parade. I still live close by.

  • This is great I wasn't alive when this was going on but it's great to see old evansville stuff

  • that was incredible! thanks for sharing.

  • Did all the E'ville elementary schools participate in this? I remember dressing up and even have a picture, but I didn't remember being in a parade, of course, it was over 30 years ago ;)...I was in kindergarten this year...I went to Lodge on the east side.

  • That brings back some serious memories - both my mom and dad (who is deceased) are in there at the beginning. I was in that parade at 9 years old too, but didn't see me on the first pass. Thanks for sharing!

  • its 1976 and we had not ballooned into a nation of overweight people yet. This isn't that many years ago!

  • I was in that parade! Gave me a warm fuzzy feeling, too. I didn't see myself, but I remember hounding my mom to get the most authentic colonial dress to wear and not being real crazy about the one I ended up with. I was in third grade.

  • Yes, Holy Redeemer is behind Wesselmans but this is not their parade. It is definitely Thompkins. They have their basketball team and the band is Thompkins. I can identify Steve Head, Cathy Connelly, Stephanie Jones (one of my best friends in 6th grade), my sister, etc. The music teacher, Mr. Becker is there too. :)
