Growing up in the Australian bush, during World War 2, one had very little contact with the outside world, except for the daily newspaper and a cinema. It was the magic of the cinema that showed us the vastly different world that lay beyond our sandy beaches. One of the great stars of that time was Betty Hutton. Everyone adored her. She lit up our lives. Her warmth and humour made her far more accessible than any of the other stars at that time. She held nothing back and put everything she had into her character, especially when singing or dancing. Times changed and life pathways took different routes, so it was only recently that I discovered the full story of our beloved Blonde Bombshell. I felt that I owed her something. This is my tribute..........
What an endeavor and how well done. You are bringing back so many memories.
Now for the final part 4
