Our collie was also abandoned. We found her on our doorstep when we returned from vacation one year. She picked the right family, because we held onto her for 11 more years until she died last year. We miss and love you "Sandy".

Nice video, nice dog. You both are lucky that You found each other.
Like my first collie Teddy which I found after an accident when his right front leg was cut off. I did a good job of first aid, but the owners didn't show any further interrest in the ten year old dog. So I took him and found Doctors that sewed the leg back to the dog. We had 5 wonderfull years together (In the video-clip he's 14 years old).

Rough Coat Collies....one of the most wonderful breeds! How in the world could anyone with a heart abandon a dog like this? God love you for taking him in....and caring for him. I bet he is soooooo happy herding those sheep! We also took in a rough coat...but she was not "abandoned"...the former owner simply seeked out another suitable owner.
