Open Forum: Fair Trade - An Alternative?
Globalization is under tremendous pressure to deliver for everyone. The expectations of the Doha Round are high and developing countries look forward to the outcomes of the negotiations for further trade liberalization.
The agenda points are:
1) How do the protectionist agricultural policies of developed countries affect developing countries?
2) Could fair trade benefit all?
3) Are consumers ready to pay higher prices for fair trade products?
