@madmike1981 Cause it's not a real Cadillac, it's originally built for the european market, so you have to compare the electrics on it with a BMW or a Mercedes (they have even more sensors and electrical stuff that could go wrong)

It is the brake sensor ... on my 97catera my sensor broke off... its ok to leave it off. that light will just stay on. hahah mine has 170000 and i just keep the oil changed and it works ok still

that light that you were wondering about? thats the break disc or break pad thickness warning i think. we have the same car that had the same problem. i noticed that you had to do breaks on the car too. i dont know if you were told already, just thought id let you know.

the engine light is actually a maintenance reminder usually like oil change.. the real check engine light says "check engine"
