These Bodies Of Liquid is the first of three contrasting choral settings of secular text. This particular poem is written by Michael Richardson, a freshman at the Berklee School of music.

These bodies of liquid
Are bodies of frets and regrets
And the movement of my hand
As my hand draws across my eyes

These bodies of water
Are natural disasters
Disaster, disasters,
Simply trickling down

And all because
Of your bitterness
And emptiness
I'm dead not physically
But mentally
Psychotically

These hands, are the hands
That I dug with, I dug for
A place, yes a place I could hide
A place I could call my own

This heart, is the heart
That is beating, was beating
Alive, so alive
But it's needing a place it can call its own

And all because
Of your bitterness
And emptiness
I'm dead not physically
But mentally
Psychotically

You're the only one whoever made me...
Cry
