This is my first American made guitar since I sold my 1973 Gibson Les Paul Cherry Sunburst in 1985. It is a Limited Edition for 2011 as its the 60th Anniversary of Telecasters from Fender. The body is Alder (black model). The two tone burst model uses ash for the body.

  • great guitar and review man, nice chops too! Guitar porn! ha

  • @coltranelovetrain

    Thanks!

I wish I could of panned down to my left foot and shown the wah pedal in use.

I think that would of been interesting to the viewer.

  • Nice! Not sure about those Strat type saddles tho, they just look weird on a Tele. But if they sound good, I guess one could get used to it.

    Hello,

Thank you for watching and commenting!

I dont really pay attention to them.

They do what they do and they dont poke my palm or wrist.

I have the same on my strat as well.

    Take it easy!

    Steve

  • Hi, love your guitar, Just wondering Im looking at getting one and was interested to hear your thoughts on the different body. Ash V alder? Was either looking at the 2 tone Ash or the 3 tone sunburst Alder

    Cheers

  • @digbywigby

I dont think its about ash vs alder. I think its about what pickups you put in the wood. I have a lite ash korean fender telecaster that has duncans in it and it doesnt sound as good distorted as this one which is alder. But its a nice clean sound.

I like the two tone ash out of the two you are looking at.

Thx for your comment and question.

    Later

    Steve

  • @cryptonet007 Yea, performance wise they are certainly great. I have a Strat with those type saddles also, that's why I kind of associate them with Strats. I've got an earlier Tele(circa 2000), that has block saddles. I was considering swapping out the bridge for the original ashtray type, but I've found that it's fine as is. Thanks again for showing us your Beautiful telecaster!

  • @salvadory

It's a BADASS looking axe for sure!

  • @salvadory

    Your comments are welcome!

Its just an awesome cool axe.

    Thx!

  • i think the tele in classic black with white pickguard is the best looking guitar ever outside possibly jetglo rickenbacker 330 but i must say i prefer the original vintage bridge with brass saddles myself- i have a white tele with black pickgurd and some mods like bakelite knobs but plan on getting black one as well
