Filmed in High Definition, on January 2nd 2009, I strapped my camera to the bonnet of the car, and drove from Paiblesgarry to Sollas, on the beautiful Isle of North Uist.

After speeding up the film, you can now enjoy the stunning 30 minute drive in just 3 minutes - the equivelent of 300 miles per hour!

  • You've made some lovely films. What music are you using on this? Keep up the good work! :-)

  • @tzzatzza Thank you, the music was donated by Paul Lord.

  • Great Video and fantastic quality for youtube.

Hello, What camera did you use also the software.

Tried a few things but never work as good as this (gave up)

Never buy a cxamera with a harddrive built in as any excess vibration shuts it down hence can't strap it to you bonnet or anything else..

  • Hi, thanks for your comment.

I'm afraid to say my camera is the Sony HDR-SR5, which is a hi-def Hard Drive camera, never had a problem with it, it's a fantastic peice of kit.

As for the software, I use Sony Vegas.

  • wow awesome work

    did you deshake the footage?

  • Hi, thanks for your comment. The only work I did on the footage was to speed it up, and a couple of quick edits here and there to remove long waits for passing vehicles, oh and a little colour correction... but no de-shaking was required, as the roads are pretty smooth.

  • Thank you. This is beautiful.

  • I absolutely loved this. Should have 1,000,000 views. So simple, but beautifully complex. The music was perfect! 5/5
