  • so the roots grow threw the wire mesh? You never have to remove the wire?

  • In areas of intense sun light like inland Ca, AZ, TX, FL and in Mexico it is best to apply a half water half latex paint mixture to the new wood and old wood until the tree has a very heavy leaf canopy.

Sunflowers and other high pollen bee plants are best, but avocado trees in bloom have no problem attacting bees. Triple planting of trees helps with space issues. This was the first time I had done it, this customer wanted a lot of avocado trees in a small area.

    Roots will grow through mesh

  • The wire mesh stays in the ground and does not need to be removed, over time it just breaks down. But it gives the trees are few years to develop and large root system (not the type that lifts up concrete) that cannot be destroyed by gophers.

  • i would love to grow a avocado tree from seed but i live in the high desert of the IE CA, what type of avocado should i get?

  • @Growquest - Can you explain why you include the wire mesh? Is this to encourage the roots to grow deeper rather than spreading out in the shallow dirt?
