Humanity is fucked. The joke is over, the game is up. We squandered and destroyed the land, air, sky, sea, and everything else. Some of us are trying to fix it now, but it's too little, too late. We destroyed our future. Everything is finite. We just hate to think that our time is might be coming. The human species had its time, and when we are extinct the breathing sky will sigh and thank the gods that this horde of sticky, arrogant little pests has finally wiped itself from the earth below.

hope we can resolve this issue without having another war, aren't there to many of them all ready. For how long will military grade weapons are going to be sold on the open market. I propose a credit rating company that penalizes countries that export weapons, the dirtier the gun trade mafia conspiracy, the lowest the rating would be, this way when investing in china, us, russia, uk, you might want to remember they are the factory warehouse exclusive distributors of missiles etc special price ?

Well trust the older generation to know a lot about very little lol; I dont hear any mention of Desalination plants, a viable way of turning salt water (thats the kinda water in the sea's and oceans) into normal drinking water.

Clearly global warming is all due to humanity (more like partially), never mind the increased sunspot activity melting the polar ice caps of planets in our solar system.

These people just go to show that a little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing.

Actually Forced Osmosis is the common method of Desalination and the highly concentrated Salty water that is a byproduct- where do you think it is pumped backk into ?
That is right, the sea it came out of. So that is NOT the ultimate answer, unfortunately .
Keep conserving. Americans Use 6100 gallons Annually, Japanese 1300 and Chinese use around 700 gallons annually.

Luckily you evangelical lot of doomsayers are a fruity bunch and come in a number of flavours, Climate change, 2012 and ofcourse my personal flavor, water and peak oil, with sprinkes of ignorance.

You think we dont use the salt? lol evaporate the water off and sell the salt on for purification.
Oh and as for the water we'd take out well i can assure you it doesnt all magically dissapear, takes many forms such as evaporation/return to the water table and so on.

The privitization of water is merely the most recent chapter in the historical monopolization of land and natural resources. The motivation for "owning" the earth is that its value is created by the community (all 6 billion of us)as a whole and is a source of pure profit at the expense of all of us when private individuals/corporations are allowed to collect and keep it. There is a simple solution by way of imposing very heavy taxation on that community created value. It's our earth after all.
