Musician Matisyahu is the personification of harmony. He is a Hasidic Jewish musician from New York City known for blending traditional Jewish themes with reggae, rock, and hip-hop sounds. He pushes musical boundaries by incorporating a variety of genres to create unique sounds with deep messages that aim to unite and uplift. Matisyahu once said, "All of my songs are influenced and inspired by the teachings that inspire me. I want my music to have meaning, to be able to touch people and make them think. Chasidism teaches that music is 'the quill of the soul.' Music taps into a very deep place and speaks to us in a way that regular words can't." Listen to one of his latest songs 'One Day', which he created as an anthem for hope and a source of inspiration for people struggling to open their hearts and stay positive.

  • Thank you for sharing this beautiful message of PEACE and LOVE! Keep on singing your song brother! Blessings!

  • He was born in PA and only recently Hasisdic...

  • Israel occupies Israel- Look in the Bible- Palestine was the name given by the Romans when they occupied "military" Israel.

    Matisyahu rocks.

  • funny how contradictory his views towards the need for the state of Israel to have a strong military are to his lyrics in this song. I love him, but he is a total apologist for Israel's military occupation of Palestine. Yes, Matisyahu, no more wars...

  • peace n love

  • The song is pretty but can someone explain how a Hassidic Jew from NYC ended up with a Jamaican accent? Just curious.

  • To Honeybea264: I guess, because reggae man always reminds you of hashish & marijuana. Maybe you have to be stoned to get into that spritiual level of just love and peace. Aggressive people might want to be treated with that stuff, then they calm down, listen to Matisyahu and no more wars!!! Yeah!
