Christmas is a consumer bonanza, but where do all these products that flood December come from? The answers China. From fake Christmas trees and ornaments to iPhones and XBoxes, China has become, for all intents and purposes, our North Pole. GOOD unwraps the numbers.

@KripDrip Then imagine only 20% of its intended users buying the product. Do you really think a company would produce something that it can't really sell? They would probably raise the price slightly and just make paid DLCs, like maybe updates are needed to be paid for. You obviously don't understand marketing as well as the nature of business. It's not a simple add, subtract, multiply or divide equation. You need to look at your market.

@ealoseum I would love to, but there's really no choice because you'd be abstaining from products that you actually like and want. I do not want to help a corrupt country from profiting and exploiting its own people while maintaining cruelty and censorship. I am Chinese and I am ashamed of what my origin country has become.

@TheHairySpleenShow you do realise that even if there wasn't a China we'd still be able to produce laptops and such... but it'd probably just be a bit more expensive... China's not the one with the technology

I'd like to complain, but I can't, because were it not for China, I wouldn't even be able to see this video on my laptop.

Even the mouse I'm holding right now (MX518) is made in China. And keyboard too. And the monitor.
