  • im 15, 5'8 and right footed. I prefer to punt, but a successful drop kick from me can hit the top of the opposing 18 without wind. when i drop kick though, I have only about a 70% success rate... Im trying to get better with it and when i do it i drop with my right hand upside down palming/guiding the ball. if i were to drop kick with my left hand, my balance gets affected and i usually don't have the results i do when i drop with my right hand. Should i keep doing it w/ my right or left? :/

agreed. if you are going to use the dropkick with your right foot, then I would drop the ball out of your right hand. I also use the dropkick as my preferred method, and dropping the ball out of the left hand pulls my left should down too forward in front of my body, thus affecting my the distribution of my body balance and doesn't allow me to maximize the full range of motion with my right leg. Thus, I drop out of my right hand as well when I hit a dropkick.

  • I was hoping to hear a window smash when he was kicking the ball towards the camera XD great vids though :)

  • @kclove121 I use dropkicks when it's windy, punts for me go far but to high which it takes a little longer to land or to get to your forwards etc.

  • Any tours in Wisconsin?

  • Ive always wondered but never gotten a straight answer form my coach since he was an indoor goalie, is there an advantage to dropkicks vs punts? like different situations for each one?

I do clinics all over the world, but they are usually set up by other people in those specific locations. if someone in Canada would like to put together a goalkeeping clinic I would be more than happy to come.

  • man i always have problems punting the ball. everytime i punt it, it spins ..
