@TheLongboarderguy He had to do a huge pump just to make it through that section! Had he already been "in there" he wouldn't have made the last secton. Video limits the viewer to just what the camera sees. If you were there (and I was) you could appreciate how much the wave was walling up and sucking out in front of him when he began to stall for the tube. Any lesser surfer would have been running for the shoulder.

yep, he timed that perfectly, if he had pulled in earlier, he woulda got too deep on that last section. He had a couple of hollow sections before that, but he wisely passed them up for the one at the end and it payed off. Wardo RIPS!
