From The Divided Film DVD

"There is a crisis. Christian youth are rapidly leaving evangelical churches for the world. This well-recognized disaster has been the topic of significant discussion in recent years for both church leaders and modern news media. DIVIDED follows young Christian filmmaker Philip LeClerc on a revealing journey as he seeks answers to what has led his generation away from the church.

Traveling across the country conducting research and interviewing church kids, youth ministry experts, evangelists, statisticians, social commentators, and pastors, Philip discovers the shockingly sinister roots of modern, age-segregated church programs, and equally shocking evidence that the pattern in the Bible for training future generations is at odds with modern church practices.

He also discovers a growing number of churches that are abandoning age-segregated Sunday school and youth ministry to embrace the discipleship model that God prescribes in His Word."

  • Thank you so much for exposing this, perfect timing for our family! Blessings!

  • @MyLilTribe Glad it could be of help. God bless you & your family!

  • I am a confidant Atheist; been so for about three years now but I have doubted and questioned Christianity for nearly ten. If anyone wants to see if I'm evil then go ahead and send me a PM. Let's chat. Get to know me. I won't bite, I swear :)

  • @ImACuteGeek Hi. Thank you for your comment. I wouldn't say that you're any more evil than anyone else per se. We R all born in depravity and even if you are of the belief that we aren't born evil, it doesn't take long before a depraved world influences us and affect our behavior, etc. Jesus asked, why do you call me good? Only the Father is good. In a comparison by God's standards, we are all evil. We aren't saved b/c of our goodness. We are saved b/c of His grace He gave thru our faith.

  • You don't have to put up with mouthy douche bag fundamentalists like this. This ignoramus needs to be told that Paganism is religion and the youth of today are not Pagans. However anything would be an improvement over this asshole.

  • On the contrary, the faith development of children and youth is the responsibility of parents (Deut 6). It is parents who have be disillusioned by a church unwilling to change and present the ever relevant gospel in a relevant way, who have in turn not been strong enough/brave enough/taught properly to raise their children in a Godly way. Videos like this only seek to judge and throw blame, attempting to amputate parts of the body of Christ, that don't fit a mould.

  • This is just reactionary drivel to the naivete of youth. Young people have sex, Young people don't have children, Young people don't have the same responsibilities, Young people make dumber decisions because they don't have the same amount of life experience.

You don't like youth ministry because it conflicts with your culture, which holds an interpretation of the Bible as being very zero-sum; therefore any deviation from exactly what you hold true is tantamount to complete abdication of God

  • OH MY, OH MY!! THIS IS AWEOME!! THIS IS A GREAT NUGGET!! YOU ARE SO CORRECT!

  • Wow, well said!

  • Amen & AMEN!!
