@stevenyaxley1 Back up lamps (and seat belts--lap belts only at that time) weren't federally mandated to be on new cars until the 1966 model year. You occasionally see them on '65 and newer cars (especially GM cars) because the makers knew they were soon to be mandated and apparently just started putting them on some cars to sort of "ramp up" to regular production. I think like 3 or 4 different hubcap styles were available on '65 LeMans/GTO models, if I'm not mistaken.

what i find weird is the back up lights in the rear bumper and the hub caps. i have a gto that hasnt been touched since 65 and i have neither of those. different hub caps
