  • This poem of Poe's-is one of the few where he adds in much of his own life. Though the song does not show it all, the poem grows darker toward the end of it, ending with:

    'From the thunder, and the storm --

    And the cloud that took the form

    (When the rest of Heaven was blue)

    Of a demon in my view --'

    Bravo!
