These three Southern Copperheads were found near some houses and moved a couple miles to a protected rural area where they would be less likely to be needlessly killed by humans. Copperheads are the least venomous of all North American vipers (though a bite should still be considered medically significant) and usually have docile temperaments, as this video shows. They will not attempt to bite unless severely provoked, and should NOT be killed or harassed when found. They are efficient predators of rodents and valuable members of the ecosystem.
