new song from self titled forgetters seven inch

lyrics:

when i see the ocean it means i'm home
just give me the one wall i can hold the world at bay
put your camera down this is not a zoo
any serious miracle is not for keeping now

and i'm a lioness when it comes to you!
if they say a word it'll be the last mistake they get a chance to make
and i'm a straight-up ghost since you wrote me to make off
don't need pride of place, but in your good looks
i think i might rate a page

the trace effects of these foreign wars
i'm not sitting it out i'm still in shock
and this cold old orbit never fails
as the city sleeps - we fly into the night

and i broke parole just to get to you!
at a stupid show i thought "this can't be real"
i threw a mc enroe

and i'm a straight-up ghost in a tattered cape
too small to fail but, baby,

someone's gonna love me someday
someone's gonna love me someday
someone's gonna love me someday
someone's gonna love me someday...

  • LOVE THIS SONg

"and I broke parole, just to get to you, at a stupid show, i thought this can't be real i pulled a mcenroe"

  • we never forget

  • @durkadurka91 the first 2 Jets to Brazil records are some of his strongest stuff in my opinion, but its all genius.

  • As a long time fan of jawbreaker, this is good stuff!

  • @durkadurka91 So glad you found them! I was lucky enough to see them in the 90's at Gilman and they have been my favorite band ever since. Awesome to hear that they are still finding their way into peoples lives.

  • I just discovered Jawbreaker two days ago and have been hooked..then I found Blake's later projects like this, it's weird to hear him from 20 years ago and compare it to now. Yet in a way, he still has the same feel in his voice. Definitely a genius of a musician.

  • love it. Blake your raspy, gravely voice is poetic in and of itself!
