This is a typical post work out recovery shake for me. It contains about 40 grams of protein and 5-7 grams of fat. This amount of protein works well for my recovery and I am 182 pounds.

  • Shouldnt powders be mixed on the spot? I always thought they lost properties once they were mixed with liquid and allowed to sit for too long.

  • @240sexy4 I have read the same thing. I generally drink within an hour so not much, if any, loss. However, I have also recently read that a high amount of blending has a negative effect on the amino chains in whey protein. So, I have begun to make the shake without whey prior to the work out. Once back home from the work out I add the whey protein an blend the smoothie on low for about 10 seconds before drinking.

  • have you tried peeling your bananas and freezing them in a container? and frozen wild blue berries also, instant ice cold smoothie. i use a non flavoured isolate and its naturally very sweet with the bananas and berries, some times throw in a hand full of raw wall or brazil nuts for a flavour variation and health snack
