@jthames47 I too love Clay's version of this song, I have it on a CD that was released of a compilations of his songs. It was not commercially produced, I bought it on Ebay right after American Idol 2003 ended. I believe Clay was 18 when he recorded it.

I'm happy to know people are still viewing it and are taking the time to leave nice comments about it. I created this video because I love the song and Clay's beautiful rendition of it. If you don't like it you're not obligated watch.This video was not posted to become a sounding board regarding Clay's or anyone's sexual orientation and Clay has every right to sing a religious song and a right to his beliefs in God. I would appreciate your opinions regarding anyone's sexual orientation not be posted on this video. Bible quotes can be interpreted differently, but still teach God loves everyone.

This is a touching song.....It is written by a relative of mine...His name is Ira Stanphill..He is my Grandfathers first cousin.. It is wonderful to know that this song is still touching peoples lives today...I love the way Clay sings this song...My little grandson went to be with Jesus after losing his battle with cancer...It is especially touching because his name is Clay too.....

@TitusMusicMinistry But you can't choose to be gay. You simply are. I've wrestled with this question for a long time and decided to look some things up in the Bible. From what I've read it looks like it's more of practicing a homosexual lifestyle, like gay sex and things like that are wrong. But whether it's wrong or not, do you really think that by telling someone you don't even know that they're flat out wrong like that is going to change anything? They won't want to listen to you.

@cottoncandy113 The issue is not whether you are a Christian or not if you make a mistake. The issue is if you can CHOOSE to live doing something that God calls sin with no intention to repent from such a thing and still be a real Christian at the same time. No follower of the Lord Jesus Christ can do such a thing. Therefore, it is impossible to be a homosexual and be a Christian at that same time. Anyone attempting to live a homosexual lifestyle and claim Christ Jesus as Lord is deceived.

@TitusMusicMinistry Holy cow, I know this comment was sent a while ago. But who gave you the right to decide that? I know that God didn't. As a Christian you've got to represent. Who doesn't have their flaws? Gossiping is a sin, does that mean you're not a Christian whenever you make a mistake?

@TitusMusicMinistry well its i misunderstood you in the first place or the other way around, but yes i do agree that it should be revealed to them. however its the way you reveal it that i dont quite agree. look at the way you say it; is there a more, say, polite way, to express it ? thats just what (was) on my thoughts. again, im just saying.
