Let them say whatever they want... Im 14 and even i know not to say stuff like that. Soon enogh reality will catch up to them and relize that they may need to grow up a little bit. We need need to keep our heads up here in Vermont and think about how well a 141 year old bride held up not how easly it fell down.

Gentlemen, be kind. Don't let a guy in a bad mood influence you. ;)
This was one of two covered bridges destroyed by this storm. The other was the Blenheim Bridge in New York, built in 1855. Now is an important time to reflect. Protecting our past creations remind us of the technological progressions which built our present and reveal how our predecessors lived and created. Nothing lasts forever, and it is only good that we accept that, re-build, and carry on...
Best Wishes,
Brian Daniel

It's amazing how uncaring and totally insensitive some morons can be. Seems they think that being a pig (And I mean no disrespect to pigs. I like actual pigs.), an asshole to the world, is "cool".
It ain't. Decent people find you revolting - disgusting.
It just means that you're another retarded shithead building a VERY lonely path for yourself in life and .....surrounded by only OTHER shitheads.

Thank you for saying that. We're Southerners, originally from New Orleans but in Georgia since early 1980s. At that time we started going to Marlboro, VT, every Memorial Day Weekend for the Marlboro Morris Ale. We've driven hundreds of miles around Windham and other counties, and we LOVE Vermont. We aren't dancers, just friends of many, as well as friends of our beloved innkeepers at the Whetstone Inn. Anyone ANYWHERE who doesn't recognize this kind of disaster as a tragedy has no heart.

Up here in maine this storm took out 3 bridges just in carabasset and destroyed the the road in several places including a road that sat 50ft above the river at normal river flow. I understand what ur cover bridges meen to you. But we all got hit by the storm.

I was 12 when this happened, and I still get it more than most of you idiots who think this is no big deal. Our covered bridges are our prized possessions here in Vermont. When one is destroyed it is like having an old friend die. Consider this, and you might actually be able to get it into your heads that this was a big deal in VT.
