Google Glass killer? Vuzix Smartglasses Hands-on - CES 2013

Google glass is better in my opinion. Mainly because it has glas without a wall blocking your view.

First thoughts: Bulky, Ugly, Why would I need my phone?= Will not purchase. This company seems to be making the same mistake as the smart-watch concept. Nobody wants a watch bluetoothed to a phone so the battery can get killed in about 4 hours. What consumers really want is all the functionality of a smartphone in a different form factor. If Google's offering is anywhere near as great as it seems and looks, it's going to turn the tech world on its head. Google Glass could kill the smartphone

FAIL!! The point of Google glass is to combined the mobile world with the real world. The eye glass is too big also.

As pretty much everyone else on here has said, running the headset from a tablet/phone? What is the point of the headset?

I can see obtaining processing power from a smartphone or tablet, but controlling it from there? I don't see that as a major selling point.
