what i admired the MOST in this CNN interview with annie lennox, is when she explains about her tee shirt causing some people to have thought she was HIV+ & she gave a brilliant answer by saying: "shez not hiv positive because shez been tested and knows her status." she is trying to tell the public = GET TESTED. she could of said: because i'm not promiscuous or practice safe sex." but she didn't beat around the bush. she is instilling it into ppl's heads to GET TESTED. brave annie! thank you!!!

Great to see her out there on this but note both women here are mum on abortion rights - which is rather amazing given it's a conjoined and very major issue.
One wonders if the fundamentalist nutters have frightened them off recognizing this as an essential womens' right. African women - like the rest of us - don't own themselves if they lack the right to control their own reproduction.
