Damn! Hanging on the Telephone is The Nerves song. To think for all this long time I thought this was Blondie's song (they did do a fantastic job with it), I didn't think to investigate the song, but hell you learn new things everyday.
Cat Power did a GREAT job as well!!!!

Wow, a time when Cinguar/AT&T didn't suck. I miss Cingular. My EDGE speeds were like 200kbps instead of 2kbps, had unlimited internet and text messages for $30, compared to now 2 GBs of data and 200 messages.. Thanks, AT&T...

"hanging on the telephone" was originally done by the Nerves, not Blondie. she covered the song later pushing it into mainstream success.

Yes. Hence my saying, "The Nerves's (via Blondie) 'Hanging on the Telephone.'" Because it's by the Nerves, and Chan Marshall probably heard/discovered it via Blondie's cover.
